Conventional Blanking
Stamping presses can be subdivided into mechanically driven presses and hydraulically driven presses.
The most common mechanical presses use an eccentric drive to move the press’s ram, whereas hydraulic cylinders are used in hydraulic presses. The nature of drive system determines the force progression during the ram’s stroke. The advantage of the hydraulic press is the constant press force during the stroke. Mechanical presses have a press force progression towards the bottom dead center depending on the drive and hinge system. Mechanical presses therefore can reach higher cycles per unit of time and are usually more common in industrial press shops.

Mechanical Presses
For large product series stampings, mechanical presses are very efficient because a separate tool is used for every product. Where possible the metal sheet strip is fed into the press from a coil to speed up the process.
The stamping presses are universal and can be used to punch a series of the same product or for continuous step-by-step punching. The presses are designed, produced and installed in such a way that allows for quick tool replacement.
Our biggest stamping line with a 250-ton press is ideal for producing complex parts from both thin and thick metal strip.
We have several presses linked into compact lines with band unrolling and feeding equipment. For single-operation stamping, we have additional eccentric presses that can be set-up for specific inlay operations.
Hydraulic Presses
Unlike mechanical presses, hydraulic presses have the ability to deliver full pressing force anywhere in the range of stroke. Mechanical presses develop full force at bottom of stroke only.
Hydraulic presses are able to adjust tonnage and maximize cycle time. More efficiency can be achieved by eliminating excessive ram movement or changing pressure or maintaining ram speeds. We offer a range of hydraulic presses from 10ton to 550ton. Some of our presses can also be utilised for deep drawing and cold forming or forging.
